This Tour is a Land Tour and Guests will be Driven in a Transit Van of 11 or 14 Passengers. Shuttle Bus Consists of 25 Passengers. The Byodo-In Temple is located at the foot of the Ko'olau Mountains in Valley of the Temples Memorial Park. It was established on June 7, 1968, to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the first Japanese immigrants to Hawaii. Throughout history Waimea Valley has been home to many people of the Kahuna class, thus being recognized as, "The Valley of the Priests." Hawaiian religion, which many still practice today, is polytheistic, meaning many gods. Hawaiians worship four main gods: Kane Hawaiian god of the forests and the trees.
